Ever since the wireless internet connectivity has been introduced to the world, it has literally taken over the world of internet too. The thought of accessing the internet wireless was introduced and somehow it blew away all of our minds. Ever since then we have been constantly trying to get access to the internet using the Wi-Fi technology in the domain of our own home. During its initiation, not a lot of companies were able to provide devices and services which you could use to connect to the internet. But there is a few which have lived on as a part of their legacy and constantly yet consistently kept providing excellent wireless connectivity via a number of their impressive devices.
One such corporation has been Belkin which with its consistently excellence providing devices and continually upgrading technology. Also known for their robustness and toughness, Belkin has time and again stood the test of time and proven to be the people’s favourite. This is due to the fact it gives a huge customization option and an extremely brilliant yet simplified web-based router setup page to make such customizations on.
The process to reach this web-based router setup page isn’t difficult either. You simply need to follow the following steps and gain access to it. These extremely simple steps are:
Before accessing the page, you need to make sure you are connected to the wireless router either wired or wirelessly (Wired connections are usually preferred which will be talked about later). Without which, you won’t be able to access the Setup page or the Belkin router dashboard.
Step 1: Connect your router to a PC or laptop using an Ethernet cable. This is preferred as you would be making quite a number of changes on the router and to make sure you don’t lose connectivity, a wired connection is a good bet.
Step 2: Next you need to open any browser from your PC or Laptop which is connected to the wireless router. If you are accessing the internet wirelessly, you can also open the page using a tablet or a phone.
Step 3: Enter 192.168.2.1 in the browser which is the standard Belkin Dashboard IP.
Step 4: Next the browser will prompt you and ask you for the Username and Password to access the Belkin Router Dashboard. You can use the username as “admin” and password as “password”.
Step 5: Pressing OK will now take you to the Belkin Router Dashboard where you can make desired changes and save them according to your needs. Once the changes are done however, do not forget to power cycle the device once.
